This is a top-down shot of an artillery shell standing against a wall in a dim room. Taken hand-held with a narrow depth of field and imperfect focus gave it a wonderfully serene blur. Though it worked well in black and white I decided to retain the color lest it lose some of the irony in the warm, peaceful treatment of the subject.
